David Nichtern's solo debut is a diverse and colorful collection of instrumental pop/jazz song stylings. The album features his own unique brand of lyrical guitar playing and is co-produced by legendary bass player and man-about-town Will Lee.

About David Nichtern

A well known songwriter and tv/film composer, David is perhaps best known for his highly regarded song Midnight at the Oasis, originally recorded by Maria Muldaur (2 Grammy nominations) and more recently by the Brand New Heavies.

David's long standing career as a composer, producer, musical director, and guitarist has led to associations with such artists as Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Patti LuPone, Chaka Khan, Jerry Garcia, Billy Crystal, Christopher Guest, Dr. John, The Chieftains, Bob James, and David Sanborn.

David's film scoring credits include The Big Picture (starring Kevin Bacon and Martin Short), White Line Fever (a Jonathan Kaplan film), and Spirit of '76 (with Carl and Rob Reiner, and David Cassidy). TV credits include Johnny Appleseed, (Part of Shelly Duvall's Faery Tale Theatre series for Showtime, featuring Martin Short and Molly Ringwald), and the score for ABC's One Life to Live which David has composed and produced since 1991.
